ICDM: Easter Update

Dear friends of ICDM,

Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! This coming Sunday, this triumphant cry will ring throughout the world proclaiming Christ’s victory over death. It is the joy of Easter. We know that Christ’s triumph over the grave secured eternal life for all who trust in him. It also provides new life here and now as His people share His Resurrection with the world.

Let me share a brief story about how ICDM is helping bring new life to the places in Haiti that seem dead. Some years ago, Mr. DC passed away and left behind his wife, Boco, and their nine children, who were attending ICDM’s school in Bayonnais. The death left the family shattered and without much hope for their future, as there is no Social Security benefit in Haiti.

ICDM was instrumental in reviving this family’s hope. The school administration asked Boca how they could help her and her children. She replied that she was a dressmaker but had no sewing machine with which to ply her trade.

Through ICDM, Boco received training, a sewing machine, and supplies to help her begin a sewing business. It took off and she was able to support her family. They all received a fresh breath of life. Today her children are successfully raising families of their own and helping others.

Our school builds strong families as well as strong students.

ICDM is convinced that the best way to help people is to give them a hand-up instead of a handout. Boco’s experience inspired the development of the ICDM Microcredit program/FONDEBLOKEM.  FONDEDEBLOKEM program helps lift people out of poverty by providing minimal interest loans to qualified groups or individuals willing to start or maintain small business. It is just one of the ways in which ICDM breathes new life into people.

People signing up for micro-credit.

It all began by asking the simple question, “How can we help?” I wonder how much Resurrection life we could all breathe into dead places by simply asking this question and responding to it in the power of Christ?
As for ICDM, I invite you to partner with us this Easter as we breathe new life into the people of Bayonnais through our FONDEDEBLOKEM micro loan program. Here are some suggestions for you to consider
  • $1000.00 to set a family up in business
  • $500.00 to help put a family in business
  • $100.00 to help family in business expand
  • $50.00 to invest in a family business
I realize that the past week’s market turbulence has created uncertainty for many of you, but Resurrection ministry is about taking the certainty of Christ into uncertain places and the life of Christ into places that are difficult. If you are able, any gift would help battle the deep uncertainty faced by many Haitian families today.  You may give your gift at https://icdm.us/get-involved/ (use the Micro-Loan option on the drop down list) or by sending it to

It just might provide the breath of new life for a family.
Helping families find life!
I value your continued partnership with ICDM!
Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
