Give some light this Giving Tuesday!
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.   (Isaiah 9:2, NIV)
Dear friends of ICDM,

For the past 34 years, ICDM (International Christian Development Mission) has had the privilege of shining the light of Christ on some of the darkest places in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

  • Bayonnais, Haiti, once lacking educational opportunities for children, now has a Pre-K—Baccalaureate (year 13) with over 800 students, preparing them as future leaders for their communities.
  • Each year over 1000 people in Bayonnais receive the medical attention they could not reach or afford. This is provided by ICDM’s medical clinic.
  • After the 2010 earthquake and several hurricanes since then, ICDM brought great physical and spiritual relief to survivors living through nightmares of recovery.
  • Amid Haiti’s current gang-related turmoil, graduates of ICDM’s Schools of Evangelism and Portable Bible Schools provide a glimpse of the light of Christ to their communities, offering hope where there seems to be none.
  • In “shadow cities” throughout the Dominican Republic “forgotten people” have been fed, educated, and introduced to Jesus Christ. ICDM-trained leaders have been leading these efforts.

I am grateful that God has allowed ICDM to shine the light of Christ throughout Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and I am thankful that you have joined us in helping to “keep the lights on.” As we approach the Christmas Season, I invite you to help us keep shining the light of Christ. Would you add ICDM to your Christmas shopping list? Here are some gift suggestions:

  • Be a GOAT by giving a goat, or a chicken, or a cow to a deserving family. The gift of an animal can be life-changing for a family’s economic situation. Chickens ($12), goats ($100), pigs ($150), and cows ($500) really can change lives.
  • Feed some children for a day. The cost of feeding all 800 of our students a nutritious hot meal is $400. The cost of feeding 100 students is $50. Any amount helps.
  • Sponsor a child for only $40 per month. This amount covers their school instructions, books, and supplies. This is a great investment in a child, and in the nation of Haiti. Your gift really changes lives.
  • Plant seeds of hope throughout Haiti and the Dominican Republic by providing scholarships for students in our Portable Bible Schools and Schools of Evangelism. As we educate and equip people, they will empower their communities. Your gift of $100 will be multiplied many times over.

You may make your gifts here. Just follow the prompts on the page, including the designation menus. Or if you prefer, send a check to: ICDM, P.O. Box 762
Intercession City, FL 33848.

Thank you in advance for your investment in the future of lives throughout Haiti and the Dominican Republic. You are helping to shine the light of Christ on some of the world's darkest places, fulfilling Christ’s instruction in the Sermon on the Mount:

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.   (Matthew 5:16, NIV)

In this season of Thanksgiving, I am thankful God has allowed ICDM to be a part of what He is doing in the world, and I am thankful for you who have and will partner with us in this work.

Your brother in Christ,
Yvan Pierre
