ICDM: Hurricane Relief
ICDM BRINGS HOPE AFTER THE PASSAGE OF HURRICANE FIONA IN THE REPUBLIC DOMINICAN & HAITI.The SituationFiona, considered by many as the first hurricane to directly impact the Island since the hurricane Jeanne in 2004, left behind considerable damage in the two neighboring Republics. Especially in Dominican Republic, the rains, and winds brought by Fiona produced landslides, fallen bridges, road blockages, and power outages. It is reported that twelve provinces in total have suffered the most damage because of the impact of Hurricane Fiona. The hurricane affected many homes, destroyed many others, killed people, and displaced over 12,000 people. In consequence, the government declared the provinces affected in a state of emergency.
