ICDM: August Update
Dear friends of ICDM, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I can tell by the extra traffic near our home that school has once again started up throughout most of Florida. No doubt each of you has a child, grandchild, niece or nephew who has experienced the excitement of a new school year. One of the great rituals of the beginning of a new school year is the adventure of school shopping for clothes and supplies. We almost take it for granted. One place where the startup of school is not taken for granted is Haiti. An already-spotty public education system has only gotten worse due to the breakdown of many government services during the present crisis.
